The former President, Donald Trump, spoke at the Conservative event, CPAC, in Dallas on Saturday. Trump brought up many things, including the current state of the country, President Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan, and a possible 2nd run for president in the 2024 election. In the speech, Trump said "It’s certainly not a very long period, the time is coming. I think people are going to be very happy, our country has never been in a position like this, we've lost everything."
Trump also added "We'll be making an announcement in the not too distant future". This is a clear hint at a possible reelection of the former president. Trump has seen the polls and knows that his chances for winning the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election are high. In a poll taken at the CPAC event, Trump received 70% support from the crowd, while the runner up, Ron DeSantis, who is another very popular Conservative figure received 23.7%.
