In the past few years, the idea of Socialism has been gaining much more traction in the United States of America. Many think that this will promote equality among people, and get rid of the social classes. Some of the problems with this is that if Socialism was put in place in our country, there would be no innovation, no one would work hard, and there would also be no motivation.
The reason that there would be much less innovation if Socialism was put into place because there would be no reward for someone who creates a great invention. Most of the time, when people invent a new product, they turn it into company, in order to make money. If the government was going to take half of the money, and distribute it to people who don't work hard, then why would the inventor spend time to make a product if he would get the money from somebody else anyway. Those that are smart, motivated and work hard deserve a higher paycheck than those who sit on the couch, and with Socialism, they would be getting equal paychecks.
Socialism is the sharing of ownership of a product with the community, and is typically controlled by the government. Even if you create the facility, the government, and the public, who didn't work on it, still get ownership in it. Socialism is a far-left economic idea, as it supports the government having more involvement in your life.
